This is a Blog dedicated to a Squidoo Event which takes place between 1st May – June 15th.
Let’s start with the fabulous Giant Squid Greeters. They are organizing this challenge for the rest of us and they graciously call us “Potential Giant Squids”. Greeters want to help us succeed; they want to motivate us to become Giant Squids!
The rules of engagement:
- You must pick a Giant Squid Greeter “Team” to join no later them 30April. Each Greeter created a Squidoo lens for the team, and the teams are ( In alphabetic order):
Joan’s Jolly Judicious Jetsetters
JustBon’s Blue Ribbon Squids
Kab’s Fab Squid Squad
Rajays Rocking Squids
Willow’s Wonder Squids - You must start building as many NEW and quality lenses as you can, and add them to your team’s plexo. Please add only lenses published this week and between May 1st and June 15th
- The winner is the team that builds the most quality new lenses . This team will get:
- a special chat workshop with your Giant Squid Organizers,
- big time bragging rights (well, we brag anyway, but having “the right” to do it, just watch us…) and
- a nice write up on the “So you want to be a Giant Squid?” blog
- and I think, you’ll be just a little bit closer to getting your 50 quality lenses done!
My fellow Squids get busy.
Personally I am in Joan’s Jolly Judicious Jetsetters team, and I pledge to do my best.
I think this is an event good for Squidoo, for us the Squids, a triumph for Web 2.0.
The benefits of following our progress are:
- You will discover the Squidoo spirit
- You will be amaze by erudition, ingenuity, talent of team members
- You will meet proud, hard working people
- Camaraderie and generosity are part of Squidoo culture
- You will learn a lot along with us
- You will realize the power of Web 2.0 Applications, among them Squidoo, Hubpages, Twitter, Facebook… they are around 200 of them just to mention the most popular but I’ll give you the last one I know, the awesome SecondLife.com – be careful is more addictive then Squidoo and Twitter combined.
- If you are not a Squid already, you have the best chance to become one
I am the owner of this blog and I create this blog for my team, I’ll keep you inform with the highlights of this challenge.
Because I am a member of a team, to be fair, I’ll stop bragging about this event as soon I finish this post, and I’ll start just to inform you with our progress.
I encourage you to participate, comment on this blog, on Greeters lenses and on lenses you like, if any.
Let’s have a productive, inspired, and useful month of May.

Great blog. Yes, the JJJ’s are the best group. At least that is what I think. Do you think maybe I am prejudiced?
This is a neat blog Michey (don’t give up on me… I’ll learn). I’m so glad you are on the JJJ team!
